Signs Now UK started business in Leicester and has grown to become a national sign supplier with 5 branches across the country.

Signs Now offers a complete service which includes site surveys, sign design, full cost proposals, in-house manufacture and fabrication and installation of all signs by our own experienced and fully trained fitting crews.

Live Nation is a live events company based in Beverley Hills in California focused on concert promotions – with a subsidiary operation based in the UK.

Live Nation organise these events from a number of venues around the UK. As a form of revenue generation they seek to recruit sponsors for these venues – e.g. the O2 Arena.

Formerly the Cardiff International Arena – an indoor exhibition centre which is used to host a number of shows on a regular basis.

Live Nation agreed a deal with Motorpoint – an independent supplier of new and nearly new cars – to name the arena after the company – the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff.

Having agreed a sponsorship deal for naming the arena, Live Nation needed to find a company that would be able to brand the arena appropriately. There was a need to show off the new sponsor’s name.

There are not many sign companies able to manage such a project. Live Nation found Signs Now on the internet and contacted our nearest branch in Bristol. The manager of the branch studied the ideas and drawings provided by Live Nation and prepared a ball-park preliminary estimate of the cost.

Live Nation were satisfied with this estimate and a meeting was arranged on site between the managers of the arena, Live Nation and Signs Now – Glen Fitzpatrick.

Glen carried out a detailed site survey and a safety risk assessment before preparing a detailed cost quotation – please refer to our attachment (The Proposal)

Live Nation were satisfied with the detailed quotation and asked Signs Now to proceed. Planning permission was given and everyone wanted the signs up as soon as possible. The matter was now becoming urgent.

Signs Now prepared a detailed project management plan.

For a project of this size and in order to gain access – Signs Now was required to block off a number of roads in the vicinity of the site. Signs Now staff have been trained in a number of aspects of traffic management – including Chapter 8 – Temporary Road Working.

Signs Now was required by the local council to submit a detailed plan for managing the traffic over the 4 days of site installation. This plan was approved by the council at a meeting some days before the installation took place.
